Devoted fans of the actress are demanding that a person who leaped a fence and grabbed the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A viral clip reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside media personnel and charging at Grande while the actors walked down a event pathway accompanied by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though court documents indicated that he was due to be present on the next day. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

History of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes videos of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney show in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last December.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is evidently a punishable act," stated an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user questioned.

Fans Express Concern Over the Star's Safety

Numerous fans accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented one more message on Instagram.

A number of supporters also faulted event staff at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while others called for digital services to ban Mr Wen's content.

Response and Premiere Information

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande seemed startled when she was touched by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of supporters had congregated in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore mall, including some who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The motion picture, to be premiered on 21 November, is the second of a dual adaptation of the acclaimed stage musical Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected bond between two contrasting characters.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a rosé glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning film of the previous year in the UK, and earned ten Oscar nominations, winning a pair for best costume and set decoration.
